Cape Town - 28 July 2006, The TurboCASH Project today announced the conversion of its web sites to a single Joomla Portal. "We have been all over the place", said Philip Copeman. project leader of The TurboCASH Accounting Project. "Growth of TurboCASH has outstripped our expectations. We now get 500 downloads a day and over 100 new company registrations daily."From being almost entirely South African based, the project has moved into 50 countries. TurboCASH is the only mainstream accounting package in Open Source. TurboCASH started as a Dual language product in South Africa and this spurred the growth into multiple markets. The mission of the project is to have one program for all markets. This has enabled TurboCASH to be much more rapidly deployed than "country based" packages. The mission of the TurboCASH project is get a 5% market share of the SEM accounting market and to facilitate trade between its users. Joomla is used to create this huge amount of content and to allow the users to create input and promote their own interests. Joomatl developers and consultants are invited to participate in this community and to peddle their wares to the TurboCASH Community. turbocash.net is based on Joomla, OSCommerce, MediaWiki, MosKnowlege, USer Home Pages 2 and PHPBB.
